Just another flagship cell phone? -
The google pixel 3 released in 2018 and it was the third generation of flagship
phone by google. Now it's 2022 and quite a bit has changed and so for the
tempting price of around 200$ on the used market is this still a good unlocked cell phone?.
How much of a flagship is the Pixel 3? -
In terms of design the pixel 3 looks pretty good. It's very minimalist and
there's nothing about it that could be considered obnoxious as everything is quite subtle.
it's got the glass slab at the top which was classic google design language for its time. The same glass slab was also seen on the google pixel book laptop as well as the google pixel 2 from the previous year.
The back is also matte glass which is really nice to the touch.
The Google Pixel 3 comes factory unlocked so you can use any cell phone carrier.
It feels great in the hand as it weighs in at 148 grams and is only 7.9 millimeters thick.
It's very snug and either one or two-handed is comfortable. Similar to a lot of phones at the time since 2018 ( the era when companies would try and make the thinnest and lightest phone possible ) Unlike today where basically every flagship is a behemoth.
Security and access features-
This device has biometrics and fingerprint scanner on the back, which is really convenient since your finger just falls into place naturally. Super fast to unlock the phone with no delay. The phone sports the appropriately named flip touch ( where you can flip the phone over and it'll activate do not disturb).
You can also squeeze the sides of the phone to activate the google assistant.
Haptics on this phone are just terrific-
literally up to par with the iPhone here but all in all this is definitely one of the best pixel designs ever made. It's very stylish with the chins. In terms of the display the pixel 3 still packs a darn decent punch being a very capable 5.5 inch oled panel with a resolution of 1080 by 2160. The pixel density is 443 pixels per inch, these numbers equate to a decent screen with crispy vibrant visuals. and deep true
The size is decently big enough for watching movies and videos comfortably. In addition it's also an always on display so if you want it'll always show the
time as well as any notifications.
Camera set up on

This camera also has night sight which allows you to take really clear shots in pitch dark.
The pixel 3's rear camera also google lens which allows you to search the internet for whatever's in your shot.
for example;
point it at a bottle of perfume and it'll show you web results for that specific perfume and where to buy it.
The selfie camera also does a great job capturing lots of detail making colors pop out at you. Video recording the pixel 3 can record in up to 4k at 30 frames per second. It shows great stabilization and colors. In good lighting you can take some very impressive footage.
Smooth And Snappy
No matter what you throw at it, the snapdragon 845 chipset along with 4 gigabytes of ram can still do pretty much everything with ease. Whether that be browsing the web, scrolling articles social media or playing moderately heavy games. The experience on here is absolutely close to flagship level.

The pixel 3 now out of the way is this the right device for you. There's no doubt that this is an excellent budget phone especially in terms of camera performance and display.
